Ever wonder what a vocal track sounds like when it's laid down in the studio? Me neither. Before you hit "play", a word of warning. If you're a fan of Van Halen's Running With The Devil as I am, this might be painful. Or maybe just funnier than all hell. Apparently the rest of the band had already recorded the instruments and backing vocals. What you're hearing, I guess, is David Lee Roth listening on headphones to the stuff already recorded by Eddie and Co. and belting out the lead vocals.
