Barack Obama: Lowering the bar

Forget "hope 'n change', Obama's campaign theme should have been 'lowering the bar'. He has succeeded in lowering the bar on what we expect for the experience level of a presidential candidate, he's lowered the bar on the expectations of the character of personal and professional associates a candidate for high office should have, and he's lowered the bar for integrity in campaign financing.

So it should come as no surprise that the bar keeps getting lowered on the income levels of Americans who can expect a tax break in an Obama administration. First the upper level was $250,000, which Obama himself lowered to $200,000. Then Biden said it was $150,000. Today, Bill Richardson says it's $120,000.

What the hell is it going to be by January?
