Norway feels it can't carry out a deportation, however, because Krekar faces torture or the death penalty in Iraq. The former head of the Islamic guerrilla group Ansar al-Islam therefore remains free in Norway, and supported by Norwegian taxpayers.So rather than letting a known terror figure reap what he's sown, Norway prefers to let him walk among her citizens. Way to go, fellas.

Norway concerned for terrorist's safety
Mullah Krekar, the former head of Ansar al-Islam, remains free in Norway, living off the taxpayer's dime. While an appeals court in Norway has ruled that the government can kick his shit to the curb, others there are more worried about Mullah Krekar's well-being:
