Magic number: 85
Well, the Red Sox beat the Mets in inter-league play last night to make it ten straight wins, and the Evil Empire lost to Atlanta to put them 3.5 games behind us. The evil-doers are just 5-5 during the same ten game stretch.
I know watching the magic number this early is kind of silly, but it's fun...as long as we're in first place.
