British Home Secretary: UK policy radicalising young Muslims

In an attempt to distance himself politically from Tony Blair, Home Secretary John Reid is now parroting the Islamofascists' talking point that British foreign policy is radicalising young Muslims.

Now, in all fairness, this is probably true. But that doesn't make the policies wrong. This is akin to saying that immodestly-dressed women are to blame for their rapists' behavior. You know, like uncovered meat.

The real danger of this position is that it argues that a sovereign government should change its foreign policy because it's pissing off the bad guys.

Put another way...picture a 1942 newspaper headline reading "Japanese military build-up blamed on US response to Pearl Harbor".
