Iowahawk gets a form letter

Iowahawk has received the dreaded intimidation letter from Accountable America, and we now can see firsthand their heavy-handed fascism at work.
Dear __MR. BURGE_____

According to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request of public campaign finance records, we have determined that you made a contribution of __$20, 3 BEAN SALAD, 24 PACK OF LEINENKUGEL___ to the __JOHNSON COUNTY GOP POTLUCK__ on __7 JUNE 2008__. I imagine it is difficult sleeping at night knowing that your __$20, 3 BEAN SALAD, 24 PACK OF LEINENKUGEL__ helped directly fund the most criminal administration in the history of the United States, the illegal torture of innocents, and the indiscriminate slaughter of billions of children worldwide. Of course, this presumes such crimes actually bother you and your disgusting cronies at the __JOHNSON COUNTY GOP POTLUCK__.
We can only hope that he and his family are safe.

Oh, and read the whole thing.

The parody? HILARIOUS.

The real letter? Incredible that they can attempt to threaten and intimidate people into preventing them from contributing to their party of choice. It's not too many people that can legally offer to give $100,000 to anyone that can offer them a means of ruining someone's life.

Let's see, where have I seen these intimidation tactics before...

Judicial Watch points out, the Accountable America letters are also quite possibly violations of the civil liberties of those receiving them: “A key federal civil rights law (42 U.S.C. § 1985(3)), popularly known as the Ku Klux Klan Act, may be applicable if ‘two or more persons conspire to prevent by force, intimidation, or threat, any citizen who is lawfully entitled to vote, from giving his support or advocacy in a legal manner, toward or in favor of the election of any lawfully qualified person as an elector for President or Vice President, or as a Member of Congress of the United States; or to injure any citizen in person or property on account of such support or advocacy.’
