Lieberman falls victim to the anti-Israel left

Ned Lamont, darling of the far left, has beaten incumbent Joe Lieberman in the Connecticut Democratic senatorial primary. One of the few remaining sane voices in the Democratic party, Joe Lieberman will now have to run as an independent if he hopes to retain his seat in the elections this November.

As I posted last weekend, the far left's seething hatred for George Bush has made it virulently anti-Israel and Joe's unflinching support for Israel and the war against Islamofascism were the catalysts for his defeat.

The Democratic party's lurch to the far left is now complete.
