British Racial Equality Chairman: "Muslims who want sharia should leave"

I don't know how I missed this one. Back in February, during the Great Cartoon Jihad, Trevor Phillips, chairman of the British Commission on Racial Equality suggested that Muslims living in Britain who want sharia law should leave:
He rejected the idea that British Muslims should be allowed to live under sharia law in their communities. "I don't think that's conceivable," he said. "We have one set of laws ... and that's the end of the story. If you want to have laws decided in another way, you have to live somewhere else." [my emphasis]
Brilliant!

And published in al Guardian, no less.
