Bizarre news item of the day

I hardly know what to say about this. Expatica reports that a certain country is miffed with France for being soft on terrorism. The country with the complaint: Iran.

After France lifted restrictions on Iran's main opposition group, Iran was outraged:

"This decision is unacceptable. It is a violation of Paris's responsibility to fight against terrorism," Hamid Reza Asefi told reporters.

"It is a green light to terrorism and violence. We are going to complain to the French," he fumed.

If the headline of the article wasn't hysterical enough ("France soft on terrorism: complaint from Iran"), that last sentence from Mr. Asefi should put any reasonable person over the edge.
