Paltrow: Brits more intelligent, civilized than Americans

To the loony left-wing mind, making sweeping generalizations about an ethnic group, a religion or a country is something only those slack-jawed, knuckle-dragging right-wingers do, and is tantamount to physical assault or murder. Unless, of course, the people in question are Americans.

In a recent interview with a Portuguese daily, actress Gwyneth Paltrow, who now lives in London, made just such sweeping generalizations about her fellow Americans:
"I like living here because I don't fit into the bad side of American psychology. The British are much more intelligent and civilized than the Americans."
The "bad side of American psychology"? What the hell is that? She also had this to say of her American brethren:
"I love the English lifestyle, it's not as capitalistic as America. People don't talk about work and money, they talk about interesting things at dinner."
"Not as capitalistic". Typical verbal diarrhea from a limousine liberal. Paltrow goes on to show us she wouldn't know intelligence if it hit her in the face with a MENSA application:
She said having US pop star Madonna, 48, who married British film director Guy Ritchie six years ago, nearby was another advantage to living in London.

"She's like an older sister. Everything I have gone through, she went through ten times worse and ten times longer. She gives me good advice about how to say no and take care of myself," said Paltrow.
Madonna as a mentor. Heh. For the record, I don't believe Americans are any more or less intelligent or civilized than our British cousins. My own experiences in the UK tell me that there's about the same proportion of boors there as there are here.
